The Paleo diet is derived on understanding how our Paleolithic ancestors used to eat before we had all our modern health issues. Based on DNA evidence hour physiology has not changed significantly since then and perhaps we would do better to go back to that way of eating, before processed foods. Understanding your blood tests is an effective way of knowing your current health, and when tracked over time you can get quantifiable feedback so you can make needed changes proactively.  It is an opportunity to learn more about what the different measurements mean in partnership with your doctors.  Educating yourself is important.
